Notions of Skylines

She found herself lost in the falling snow,
Bathed in the cold, alabaster glow.
Hair framed her face with a burning hue
While her eyes opened wide with a shocking blue.

Her thoughts danced around in her ivory head,
A soul made of sunlight, but body of lead.
Eyes like distant exploding galaxies,
When her skin starts to numb in the harsh, frosty breeze.

Her spirit sat still as it welcomed the night,
Her body has frozen whilst heart was in flight.
White features suspended in crystals of cold,
While slow breaths expelled dusty clouds of pure gold.

And then she returned, when her soul had been dropped,
All notions of skylines had slowed down and stopped.
Her twinkling eyes blinking back into day,
And she knew, in that moment, that she’d be okay.

About pasameerday

I haven't got a lot of time to keep you interested, so I'll be quick. I'm a writer from the UK, primarily of fantasy and sci-fi short stories, and occasionally of strange, nonsensical poetry. I like cats, the Sims, and pizza, and I go to sleep to the sound of a keyboard. I've been writing for my entire life; to be honest, I don't think I could ever bring myself to stop. I have a feeling I'm losing you, so I'll bring this to an end before you slowly start to back up, hoping I'll stop talking long enough for you to make a quick getaway. Wait... Where are you going? Hey! Wait! ... Stop!!
